Life is rolling along. We had a super busy Spring this year with many baby showers, wedding showers and graduation parties. My son Victor graduated and we had a party for him. We also had a birthday party at the pool for me! I made a new friend, Bobby Wesley, who came and played the guitar and sang at my birthday party.
And now Summer is practically here! I am traveling a lot this summer and still trying to finish contracting my mama's house that burned last year! I had to fire the contractor, who was getting nothing accomplished! There are exciting things in the future for The Clermont Venue! Once I get Mama's house finished we are putting in a new upgraded septic tank that will give us the flow we need to open a restaurant. I would love to make it a music venue/restaurant! It's down the road but it is such a strong passion of mine! It has to be part of God's plan for me and for my beautiful, historic building!
My daughter Josie is doing great and is currently in a play at The Hardman Farm in conjunction with Piedmont College, "The Valley of the Voices" written by Emory Jones. I got to meet so many people and make some awesome connections last night at the play. Emory had wonderful things to say about my Jo and even said he wants her to play the lead of Lenore in his play "The Valley Where They Danced". I met other talented and gifted people affiliated with the play as well who will be awesome connections for The Venue! I loved the play. It really spoke to my soul! I love Nacoochee Valley. I grew up the majority of my youth in White County and stand in awe at the beauty and majesty of God's creation in that area!
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we roll through the summer and approach a new chapter in the life of The Clermont Venue. I hope you all have a safe and fun summer! If you need a party give me a call! Robin
